Pink vase with two ears, Glassworks Tarnowiec, Poland 1970s.
390,00 zł
- EUR: 91,60€
Double-layer sodium glass. This is the end of these wisdoms.
In the 1970s, probably in every house there was a trace of production from Tarnowiec. So everyone had something that was an interior design, and that’s something, not just a vase for flowers.
So you can consider vases from the glassworks in Tarnowiec as a kind of luxury, care for the aesthetics of the home space, not providing basic needs, and something more.
As far as I know, these were not cheap things either.
I call them urban forms, urban folklore, not to call it bourgeois design.
I like them because they are unexplored, provided with simple shapes, a bit Scandinavian, they please the eye especially in a group.
The vase is in perfect condition.
Glassworks Tarnowiec ceased operations in July 2012.
Height: 18 cm
Width: 8 cm
Inlet diameter: 11,5 cm
Base diameter: 8 cm
