Light blue Glass Vase, Vladislav Urban for Sklo Union Rosice, Czechoslovakia, 1970s

Pressed glass in perfect condition.

 He studied together with František Vízner, with whom he was often compared. Vízner and Urban started working as designers at Rudolf Hut after studying where Rudolf Jurnikl worked from 1958. This strong trio of Jurnikl, Vízner and Urban gave the glass a distinctive Czechoslovak embossed look.

Urban came up with the idea to cast molds directly from the model. As a result, it has enriched its range of pressed glass with many designs that work with a variety of structures.
