The Swedish essence of minimalism and modernism. Perfect proportions and workmanship. Can a stool be beautiful? Yes. These are just what they are. Perfect in proportions, aesthetically balanced.
It is not a stool, it is the essence of Swedish / Scandinavian design. Designed by Borje Johanson for Johanson Design, they were produced in the 1970s.
Heavy due to the metal structure. Perfectly matched red poufs do not escape from the metal legs anywhere, because they are attached permanently.
They also have an interesting past. In the 1970s, they were equipped at that time, probably the most modern office building in Warsaw – the Intraco skyscraper, which until now stood at ul. Stawki.
They have some history behind them, hence they are not in perfect condition, but you can safely give them a very good vintage condition. There are minor abrasions on the metal legs, but without any special drama. Their snow-white color has also lost its freshness over the years, but they can still be placed in rooms without further ado. The legs are white and the pouffes are red. Anyway, you can see it in the pictures. They will tell you the truth because pictures never lie.
The poufs are nowhere chafed or cut / torn. The color of the skin still surprises with its intensity. I found one small stain / discoloration on one of them visible upon closer inspection.
The seats, i.e. the pouffes in question, are not seated at all, and they will still bravely lift any weight that will rest on them.
Each is signed with a manufacturer’s sticker (photo). Each has worn varnish on the bottom of the leg. You cannot see these chafing when the stools are standing.
These poufs are small works of art.
We have 2 of these works. Both in a similar condition, because they formed a set together over the years.
The price is for one stool.
