A large figurine from Bavaria from the family factory Hutschenreuther, designed by artist Karl Tutter, depicting a forest nymph dancing with two bears.
A rare thing on the market, it appeared in various colors and it was different with talent for people who finished the work by painting the figures of the Virgin and two Bears.
Here I would rate a person’s artistry as average. It used to be better, sometimes it was worse, but ultimately it was so rare that there is not much room to show off when comparing.
The figurine is painted underglaze.
No cracks, chipping, scratches in the glaze and traces of previous repairs.
No signature. The pattern is so characteristic that it is difficult to make a mistake. The German nymph danced with bears at the turn of the 30s and 40s only in this company.
